Bhutia Busty monastery is also known as Karmaa Dorjee Chyoling monastery is a Buddhist monastery located in Bhutia Busty, Darjeeling district, India. It belongs to the Red Sect of Buddhist Lamas. The Bhutia Busty Gompa is a beautiful walk uphill from the busy Mall Road of Darjeeling through a narrow meandering road. The road, passing by a few houses, finally opens up to verdant trees with just the sound of cool breeze whispering in ears. The monastery is a bit off-route and hence often missed by tourists, which makes it a perfect place for people looking to spend some time amid serene environs.
Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park
Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park also known as Darjeeling zoo. Open in 1958, The zoo attracts about 300,000 visitors every year. The park is named after Padmaja Naidu, daughter of Sarojini Naidu. This is highest altitude zoo in India.
